Poundmaker's Lodge Treatment Centres has been a non-profit organization for 50 years since 1973, based in the City of St. Albert. We are helping people recover from addictions.
Currently, we are expanding our services from Alberta to Saskatchewan and are looking for a Junior Accountant, in helping day-to-day operational functions. This is a full-time, permanent position on a Monday-Friday shift (7.5 hours). The position offers an annual salary of $48,000 with a great benefits package. Qualifications
- Preferably in Accounting Diploma/Degree or related field or equivalent
- Experience with Sage 50
- Strong in Accounting
General Financial Duties:
- Review and maintain ledgers, trial balance, income statement & balance sheet accounts
- Assist month-end and year-end closing activities
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
Accounts Payable:
· Process vendor invoices accurately
· Review and process credit card transactions
· Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain up-to-date records
· Process cheque payments to vendors, and perform bank depositing
· Follow up on overdue payments and coordinate with internal and external parties to address outstanding issues
Accounts Receivable:
· Process AR invoices (very small volume)
· Monitor and track customer payments, ensuring timely collections
· Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
