Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
- Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately using ACCURO
- Assist with check-in and check-out processes, including collecting co-payments, and distributing forms
- Prepare and organize patient charts, documentation, and correspondence for provider review
- Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient flow and appointment scheduling
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning documents, and managing office supplies
- Support the team with other clerical duties as needed to ensure efficient clinic operations
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Medical Office Assistant required
- Experience with ACCURO is required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with electronic medical records systems
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and record keeping
- Proficiency in managing multi-line phone systems and providing professional customer service at the front desk
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—are essential for interacting effectively with patients and staff
