Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Facility Attendant to help maintain a property and its infrastructure including an indoor pool.
Duties
- Daily facilities maintenance activities, including routine inspections and troubleshooting of pool equipment
- Maintainting the pool including testing and cleaning of the pool and facility.
- Perfomr minor repairs as needed
- Perform or oversee , electrical repairs, and mechanical repairs as needed to ensure equipment reliability.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff and external vendors for specialized repairs or upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience, electrical systems, Plumbing and general facilities repair
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective team coordination and reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team and project management.
- Ability to read technical schematics and troubleshoot complex equipment issues efficiently.
- Pool Maintenance certificate is a requirment - suitable candidate will be enrolled for a course to obtain certification.
Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Ottawa, ON K2B 7Y8: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)
Experience:
- Handyman: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:
- Pool maintenance certification (preferred)
