LEAD FLOORING SALESPERSON – Full-time Richmond BC
You have been a retail flooring sales professional for a long-time and you are done with shift work. You want to be home by 5 or 5:30pm most days and only work the occasional Saturday.
Island Carpets and Flooring has been serving Richmond and the Lower Mainland for over 50 years. We have a relaxed, experienced sales team and in-house installation crews.
We have an opening in our sales group and are looking for a proven flooring sales professional who wants to join a talented team and operate without ‘eyes over your shoulder’.
We have several good house accounts available for you to assume immediately.
If you have years of retail flooring experience, want to work in Richmond (Monday to Friday 9:00 to 5.00 and one Saturday a month), and receive a strong monthly guaranteed base plus commission package, apply today.

The Right Hire:
- You have years of retail flooring sales in:
- Hardwood
- Premium Vinyl
- Carpet
- Laminate
- You are experienced at quoting commercial jobs, can read and understand design plans and complete accurate quotes from them without supervision.
- You can perform Take-Offs from plans. There are many commercial opportunities.
- You are a great communicator, fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Other languages would be an asset but not a requirement
- You have a positive and upbeat attitude and treat all customers with respect, truth, and integrity.
- You understand that taking the time and getting customers into the correct selection of flooring and doing this at a fair price is critical to long-term success – yours and Island’s.
- You know how to measure and what to look out for with each flooring type and a variety of install situations.
- You are good with Excel, Word, Outlook and will be able to quickly learn and follow the Island Sales processes.
- You are quick with your responses and always provide accurate quotes.
- You have a valid driver’s license and have a clean vehicle.
For the correct individual, remuneration will begin at $4,300 (or more based on experience) guarantee per month plus commission.
No cap on earning potential.
