Your opportunity:
Under the general direction of the Department Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the efficient operation of the Chair’s Office and for providing a wide range of administrative and secretarial support for the Chair and the Department Manager.

Your responsibilities will include:
Applying established standards when administering academic search activities
Following administrative rules and procedural instructions
Collecting feedback from search committee members
Following administrative rules and procedural instructions
Collecting documentation required to carry out the tenure and review processes from senior leadership
Preparing draft statistical reports and summaries from data collected
Determining logistical details and activities for events and/or programming
Editing content for brochures, newsletters, websites and/or handbooks

Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years of recent and related experience in the administration of academic guidelines and procedures and coordination of functions and events in a University academic environment.
Experience assisting with academic searches
Experience scheduling committee meetings.
Experience with Interim/Probationary Reviews, Tenure/Continuous Status Reviews and Promotions.
Experience assisting with research and study leave administration.
Experience assisting with the PTR process.
Experience preparing miscellaneous reports.
Experience maintaining electronic filing systems.
Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Adobe, Taleo, and Content Management System
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Superior organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
Demonstrated good problem-solving skills
