Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Trucking Dispatch for Flat Bed operations to join our dynamic logistics team. Duties
- Assist in scheduling and dispatching flat bed trucking routes
- Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and clients via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
- Enter shipment data accurately into various systems shipping & receiving platforms to ensure real-time updates.
- Support freight coordination by tracking shipments, updating statuses, and resolving issues promptly through analysis skills.
- Help manage shipping documentation, including manifests, delivery receipts, and compliance paperwork.
- Conduct data entry tasks with high accuracy to maintain reliable records for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize freight movement, improve processes, and ensure timely deliveries.
Experience
- Previous experience working with transportation management systems (TMS) or in a logistics environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with supply chain operations, 3PL (third-party logistics), or freight forwarding is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word , etc
- Strong typing skills and experience handling multi-line phone systems to facilitate clear communication.
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret shipping data, troubleshoot issues, and support decision-making processes.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures related to flat bed freight operations is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to perform accurate data entry and maintain organized records in a fast-paced setting.
- Must be fully bilingual (English /French) spoken and written. Other languages is a plus.
- Must be able to work on different shipping platforms ( US & Canada)
