Underwriter Commercial Lines
Underwriters are responsible for the selection and pricing of new business risks in accordance with company service promises, objectives, underwriting guidelines and team commandments. Qualified candidates will focus on developing and maintaining relationships with customers in order to enhance our ability to achieve company goals. Community is an important aspect of this position, so it is important for this individual to understand and be able to articulate Company and Team Stories to Customers, as well as train and coach other underwriters as assigned. Candidates must be positive, self-motivated team players with strong analytical skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
Salary range of $75,000-$95,000 CAD
Minimum Requirements: University degree and minimum 5 years Underwriting and/or insurance industry experience. Experience: Previous Commercial Property and GL underwriting experience, financial services experience, or completion of CIP is desired.
