The University anticipates a need for sessional faculty to teach in the Fall 2019 semester in the following areas:

Criminology and Criminal Justice

Posting 2019.39b: The School of Criminology and Criminal Justice requires sessional faculty for Fall 2019 to teach a variety of courses (face-to-face or online) in criminology and criminal justice, such as introductory criminology courses, academic and professional development, introduction to research methods, problem management skills, techniques in crime prevention, and special topics courses. A full list of courses taught in the School is available here Applicants must possess at minimum a Master’s degree, preferably in criminology or criminal justice. Preferred criteria include experience working in the criminal justice system or related fields, and previous post-secondary teaching experience. Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching, or the potential for excellence in teaching, as well as proficiency in the subject area(s) of the course(s) for which they wish to be considered. Ability to develop and deliver online programming will be considered an asset. Applications must include a cover letter stating which course(s) applicants wish to be considered for, curriculum vitae, a brief (maximum two pages) teaching philosophy, the names of three referees, and recent copies of teaching evaluations, when available.
