The Successful Candidate Will:
Be responsible for the planning and program delivery of private, semi-private and group pickleball lessons, in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment.
Assist the Recreation Programmer with planning, directing, and overseeing day-to-day operations of club lessons, leagues, clinics and programs, and court bookings.
Provide quality customer service to participants, parents/guardians, and the general public. Respond to program feedback, enquiries, and requests promptly.
Communicate and document any concerns to the Recreation Programmer (health and safety, attendance, participants, equipment, inventory, facility spaces).

Minimum 5 years experience teaching in a club environment, working with all ages and levels of play. Ability to run lessons, programs, clinics and leagues.
Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and independently with minimal supervision. Excellent ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively, tactfully and courteously with all levels of staff, the general public and program participants.
Please Note: Certifications are not required at time of application but must be obtained prior to job commencement. The Town of Newmarket may offer opportunities for certification.
Disclaimer: Candidates whose Standard First Aid certification expires after June 22, 2026 must renew their certification through a WSIB-approved provider and obtain the new Intermediate First Aid with CPR-C certification at candidates own cost.
