Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Junior A Hockey Head Coach/General Manager to lead and develop our Southern Alberta team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in coaching, leadership, and team management, as well as knowledge on the business, relationship building and management side of the game. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive coaching strategies to enhance player performance and team cohesion
- Oversee all aspects of team operations, game day, billet and business management
- Lead practices, motivate players, and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement
- Promote a positive team culture centered around respect, discipline, and teamwork
- Collaborate with staff, players, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment of goals
- Support the growth of players through teaching fundamental skills such as skating techniques and game tactics
Qualifications
- Proven experience in coaching at the junior or senior hockey level with a focus on player development
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams of athletes and staff
- Demonstrated ability to manage team business operations efficiently and effectively
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with players, parents, staff, and community partners
There is a competitive wage and bonus structure plus a potential equity position for the right candidate.
Pay: $60,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
