About the Role
The Cabinetry Finisher is responsible for completing finishing and detailing work on cabinet components and finished products to ensure they meet Norelco's high standards for quality, appearance, and craftsmanship.
This position requires excellent attention to detail, good hand skills, and the ability to identify imperfections and complete finishing work accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect cabinet components and finished products for imperfections, damage, or inconsistencies.
- Complete finishing and detailing work to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Perform minor repairs and touch-ups to cabinet components and finished products.
- Sand, clean, fill, touch up, and prepare surfaces as required.
- Apply or repair edge treatments, paper, laminates, and other finishing materials as required.
- Clean and prepare finished surfaces for packaging and shipping.
- Ensure finished products are free from dust, marks, scratches, glue residue, and other imperfections.
- Identify and report quality issues or damaged components to the appropriate supervisor.
- Follow work orders, production specifications, and quality standards.
- Handle cabinet components carefully to prevent damage during the finishing process.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work collaboratively with other production departments to ensure products move efficiently through the manufacturing process.
- Meet production schedules while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
Requirements
- Previous experience in cabinetry, woodworking, finishing, manufacturing, or a related field is an asset.
- Experience with cabinet finishing, touch-ups, sanding, laminates, or related work is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to identify color, finish, surface, and workmanship inconsistencies.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, production instructions, and specifications.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods.
- Ability to safely lift and handle cabinet components.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to effectively understand work orders, production instructions, safety requirements, and communicate with team members.
