Position Scope:
We are looking for a highly motivated Associate Director, Unified Communication Systems to join the larger Data & Technology Team in Toronto. This role will report to the Director, Global Client Services. The Associate Director will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy, governance, and program for unified communications, telephony, and meeting room technology, focusing on Cisco On-Prem, UCaaS, Qsys, Cisco, and Crestron solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a long-term strategy and roadmap for unified communications and meeting room technology in alignment with the organization’s overall technology strategy.
Technology Management: Oversee the deployment, management, and optimization of Cisco On-Prem, UCaaS, Qsys, Cisco, and Crestron technologies to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Governance and Compliance: Establish and enforce policies and procedures for unified communications and meeting room technology, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Global Collaboration Support: Ensure effective support for global collaboration, including meeting room technology.
Incident Response/Resolution: Lead incident response and resolution efforts.
Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of technology professionals, fostering their development and ensuring alignment with organizational values and goals.
Collaboration: Work closely with IT, business unit leaders, and external partners to drive unified communications and meeting room technology initiatives.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions and services.
Innovation and Improvement: Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies, assessing their relevance and potential impact on the organization.
Project Management: Lead and manage projects related to unified communications and meeting room technology, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
User Support and Training: Develop and implement user support and training programs to enhance the adoption and effective use of unified communications and meeting room technology.
Qualifications:
7-10 years of experience in unified communications and meeting room technology roles.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant technologies are a plus.
2+ years’ experience designing and leading workplace technology support strategies. Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco On-Prem, UCaaS, Qsys and Crestron technologies.
Experience in developing and implementing technology strategies and roadmaps.
Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
Proven strong knowledge and understanding of IT Service Management and IT Service Management tools, including ServiceNow.
Successful track record for project planning, project management, and change management across operational groups.
Ability to perform and lead effectively in a global business environment characterized by variety and complexity.
Ability to effectively organize and act on priorities in the face of varying and important demands.
Ability to synthesize complex technology and business issues, translate these into strategic direction, and evolve Workplace Services in alignment with business needs and emerging technology.
Experience in creating, implementing, and driving continual service improvement plans, including a Shift-Left strategy.
Ability to work with and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
Ability to draw insights, analyze metrics, and convey ideas clearly and concisely.
General understanding of a variety of best practices including PMP, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, etc.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
