Lead Hand / Labourer / Junior Operator
We are currently seeking a hardworking and reliable Lead Hand / Labourer / Junior Operator to join our growing civil construction team.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on civil construction & land development sites and be comfortable assisting with grading, site preparation, land clearing, operator assist, underground utility work, and general labour duties. Experience operating heavy equipment is considered a strong asset.
Responsibilities
- Assist with grading and site preparation
- Perform general construction labour duties
- Work alongside operators, foremen, and site crews
- Install and maintain grade stakes and elevations
- Shovelling, raking, and cleanup as required
- Assist with underground utility and roadwork projects
- Operate small equipment and tools safely
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs.
Qualifications
- Class 5 driver's license required
- Previous civil construction experience preferred
- Experience operating heavy equipment is a strong asset
- Valid First Aid certification is considered an asset
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Ability to work well within a team environment
