The System Integration Co-op reports on a day-to-day basis to the assigned Manager to support related Engineering and System Integration/Test teams. These teams are responsible for delivery of robust and reliable Engineering Solutions that meet the high quality standards demanded by Tactical Environments.
Working under the guidance of senior engineering designers and integrators, setup of physical lab environments to facilitate integration, test, automation, trouble shooting and debug activities
Following detailed test plans to verify system behaviour and recording results in the form of written Test Reports and Release Documentation
Characterization of unexpected system behavior to assist in debug activities and recording of results in Bug Reports
Understanding the behavior and execution of complex systems to assist in troubleshooting, problem solving and bug fixing
Extensive interaction with senior System Engineers, System Integrators and Developers
Currently pursuing a Bachelor degree or Technical Diploma related to Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, System Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Testing or Quality Engineering.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are essential
Fundamental knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems is essential. Advanced knowledge of either would be an asset
Familiarity with firmware/software programming and scripting is an asset
Advanced IP Networking skills related to routing protocols, name distribution, device discovery, system synchronization, wireless networks, mobile ad-hoc networks or tactical environments would be an asset
This position requires communication between System, System Integration, Hardware and Software Engineering staff members and it is essential that the successful candidate demonstrate the following aptitudes:

Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
