Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, with opportunities to operate heavy equipment and commercial vehicles as needed. Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery trucks and commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary.
- Ensure accurate delivery of products, verifying orders against delivery manifests.
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries and pickups.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during transportation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery schedules.
- Assist with warehouse duties such as freight handling or inventory management when required.
- Operate heavy equipment or machinery as needed for freight movement or warehouse operations.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting if qualified.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving, freight handling, or related fields preferred.
- Ability to operate forklift and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of automotive repair or maintenance is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks regularly.
- Prior experience operating large vehicles or heavy machinery is advantageous.
