Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter/Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects, from residential to industrial settings, by applying painting techniques and providing essential labour support. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers using hand tools and power tools
- Apply paint, stain, or coatings to various surfaces following schematics and blueprints
- Assist with rigging and scaffolding setup to ensure safe access to work areas
- Perform demolition or removal of old finishes as needed for restoration projects
- Use carpentry skills for minor repairs, framing, or adjustments during project execution
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure project timelines are met
Skills
- Construction experience with a focus on painting and labour tasks
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and scaffolding equipment
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques for residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Experience with caulking, rigging, carpentry, and the use of schematics is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team and with clients if needed
