DIRECT LUMPER SERVICE is a full time lumper service operating throughout the GTA. We are looking for experienced lumpers to load and offload, palletize and shrink wrap product on floor loaded shipping containers in the Brampton, Mississauga, North York and Etobicoke regions. We need quality workers who have done this type of work before. Individuals that have their own transportation as locations vary. Being able to use and have experience with a small stand alone walkie is a requirement we are looking for in the North York Region. If qualified then we can speak in more detail on the phone.
Applicants need to currently live in the Greater Toronto Area, preferably Mississauga or Brampton.
Responsibilities:
- Load / unload products manually off of containers, trailers or repalletize skidded product.
- Keeping track of correct piece count and weight and verifying information with paperwork
- Notify Supervisor of any piece count discrepancies, damaged or defective freight
- Load/unload freight carefully to avoid damage
- Label freight accurately when needed
- Comply with Company Health and Safety policies and procedures of the warehouses entered
Qualifications:
1. Lumper experience ( highly regarded, not required)
2. Ability to drive or commute to jobs
3. Steel toe boots
5. High-vis vest
6. Ability to lift over 50lbs
