Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Dispatcher and Freight Broker to join our logistics team. This role involves coordinating freight shipments, managing customer relationships, and negotiating transportation agreements to ensure efficient supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in freight management, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of the logistics industry. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage daily truck operations and driver schedules.
- Manage and schedule freight shipments with carriers and clients to meet delivery deadlines
- Negotiate rates and terms with carriers, ensuring cost-effective transportation solutions
- Manage customer relationships through effective communication and account management
- Maintain accurate data entry related to shipments, billing, and tracking
- Monitor traffic, weather, and road conditions to efficiently adjust routes
- Oversee all inside sales activities
- Monitor shipment statuses, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely updates to clients
- Utilize negotiation skills to optimize freight routes and improve overall efficiency
- Support sales management efforts by identifying new business opportunities within the logistics sector
Skills
- Previous experience as a dispatcher, freight broker, logistics coordinator, or similar transportation role is an asset
- Strong understanding of trucking operations, freight markets, and load boards
- Proficiency in Xpert and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and solve problems independently
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and regional transportation routes and roadways
- Freight Broker License/Authority experience is preferred but not required

Pay: $3,200.00-$4,500.00 per month
