Birmingham International Collegiate of Canada (BICC) is a private high school in Toronto offering the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) to international students. We provide students with personalized academic support and pathways to universities and colleges in Canada and internationally.
To support our continued growth, we are hiring multiple International Student Recruitment and Admissions Advisors with experience in international education, student recruitment, admissions, or market development.
About the Role
The International Student Recruitment and Admissions Advisor will play a key role in growing BICC's international student enrolment by generating prospective student leads, developing recruitment channels, advising students and families, and building relationships with education agents and institutional partners.
The successful candidate will work closely with school leadership to develop assigned international markets, expand BICC's agent and referral network, and convert qualified prospective students into enrolments.
Key Responsibilities
International Student Recruitment
- Generate prospective international student leads and convert qualified leads into enrolments
- Advise prospective students and parents on BICC programs, admission requirements, academic pathways, and study options
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies for assigned domestic and international markets
- Conduct follow-up with prospective students and families throughout the recruitment and admissions process
- Participate in education fairs, information sessions, school visits, seminars, agency events, and other recruitment activities in Canada and internationally
- Work toward individual and team recruitment targets
Partnership and Market Development
- Identify and develop new recruitment channels and market opportunities
- Build and maintain productive relationships with education agents, school counsellors, institutional partners, and referral networks
- Support the development of new international markets and strengthen BICC's presence in existing markets
- Maintain regular communication with recruitment partners and provide training, program updates, and promotional materials
Admissions and Student Advising
- Support prospective students through the admissions process, including application documentation and follow-up
- Provide guidance regarding academic pathways, university applications, and transition to studying in Canada
- Provide initial academic, cultural, settlement, and safety information to incoming international students and refer students to appropriate school supports when necessary
Recruitment Administration and Reporting
- Maintain accurate lead, applicant, agent, and recruitment records
- Track recruitment pipelines, follow-up activities, enrolment conversions, and market performance
- Prepare recruitment presentations, promotional materials, training manuals, and market-specific content
- Provide regular recruitment and market-development reports to school leadership
- Perform other related recruitment and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in international student recruitment, international education, admissions, or a closely related field
- Demonstrated ability to develop prospective student leads and build relationships with students, parents, education agents, or institutional partners
- Strong understanding of Canadian secondary and postsecondary education systems
- Strong sales, relationship-building, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple prospective students and recruitment activities simultaneously
- Comfortable working toward recruitment and enrolment targets
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required; approved business travel expenses are covered by BICC
Assets
- Existing relationships with education agents, schools, counsellors, or student recruitment networks in international markets
- Experience developing a new international student recruitment market
- Experience with CRM systems, lead management, digital marketing, or social media recruitment
- Proficiency in additional languages relevant to BICC's international recruitment markets, such as Vietnamese, Japanese, Mandarin/Cantonese, Spanish, Portuguese, or Arabic.
- Experience in sales, marketing, outreach, business development, or international education counselling
