The role of the Enrollment Processor is to establish and maintain employees’ and their dependants’ eligibility in an on-line environment.
Process and maintain employee/dependent certificate information for existing groups and other client requests in an online environment. This includes:
Determine whether insurance applications meet contractual provisions and the employee’s eligibility for various benefits according to the class & division structure
Update covered person file for changes in personal information
Update the Assure Company’s Tandem system to support additions & changes to Drug Card related information
Determine if special coding is required for particular files
Identify employee and/or dependent applications which require Medical Underwriting approval basing decisions on contractual & administrative provisions
Calculate the benefit amounts based on the employee’s profile
Analyze and resolve discrepancies identified from data integrity reports by updating various internal systems (EAS, BEN, PDD and Tandem) to ensure consistency
Communicate with GWL field staff and plan sponsors to obtain missing information required to process enrolment forms
Qualifications and Competencies:
Strong keyboarding skills
Ability to work with Word, Excel and Access applications
Proven customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills
Thorough written and oral communication skills
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Previous insurance experience &/or post secondary education or equivalent
Working knowledge of TOCS/TSO and EAS/BEN/PDD/Tandem &/or GroupNet is an asset
Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset
