Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Automotive Shop Assistant and Driver to join our dynamic team. This role is vital in supporting daily shop operations, ensuring smooth vehicle movement, and providing excellent customer service. Duties
- Pick up and deliver parts to techs from main shop parts
- Pick up and deliver parts from other dealerships and vendors to PDI
- Coordinate the pickup and return of vehicles to and from PDI for service and delivery
- Communicate with techs, advisors, management, and porters on the status of vehicles, pickups, parts and your location
- Ensure the care and condition of the work truck (keep clean and notify management of necessary maintence)
- Write up all tow in and delivered vehicles for advisors. Clearly and accurately.
- Organize, document and return warranty parts from pdi, ensuring all correct parts are present and documented.

- Keep delivery boards updated and accurate
- Take out Garbage, oil catches, oil plastics, recycling, batteries, scrap metal etc.
- Sweep floors, bays and common areas, pickup lot trash, ensure clean working environment
- Assist techs with light mechanical tasks (front end checks, light checks, installing harness’ etc.)
- Clean, Service, Maintain condition of shop tools (Brake Lathe, AC service machines etc)
- Receive Vehicles- Meticulously inspect vehicles for damage and document all damages
- Check in vehicles and prep them for PDI
- Transport them to detail or necessary vendors for repairs
- Install DIO parts in appropriate vehicles
- Submit all necessary paperwork for new inward vehicles
- Document and Deliver all new vehicle keys to sales reception and accounting
- Pickup and deliver tires to main shop from vendors
- Safely move vehicles and equipment within the shop premises using appropriate techniques and tools
Qualifications
- Ability to lift and carry up to 80lbs for short periods
- Ability to work in a timely manner (this job requires some motivation and Hustle)
- HIGH attention to detail

- Ability to prioritize and handle conflicting information
- Flexible thinking
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable driving vehicles up to F-750 without incident
- Excellent depth perception
- Experience in warehouse operations or automotive support roles is preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving certification is a plus
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interactions
- Prior experience with moving equipment or vehicles in a busy environment is beneficial
Pay: $16.00-$18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
