Maintenance personnel are required to attend to maintenance concerns that are generated by Housekeeping, Owner Relations and Front Desk Personnel. They are to resolve the maintenance requests in a professional manner, being courteous to guests that they encounter and to represent Big White Central Reservations at the highest level.
Attend to maintenance requests. Specific duties include, however are not limited to, changing light bulbs, locating and repairing plumbing leaks, troubleshooting electrical problems, repairing door lock mechanisms, repairing damage to units and unit’s contents, painting and decorating, and general maintenance at the Chateau Big White.
Ensures company vehicles are driven in a responsible manner and are maintained and serviced when required.
Actively participates in department- specific initiatives, working towards sustainable operations
Works cooperatively as an active member of the Maintenance team towards ensuring safe work practices are adhered to at all times
Complies with all established department and company policies, procedures and code of ethics
Performs other tasks, as assigned by management
Upholds the highest standard of internal and external customer service levels at all times
Trade qualification required
Valid international Driver’s license, clean driving record
Previous maintenance experience an asset
Proven self motivation, ability to work well with minimum supervision
Excellent guest service skills
Excellent organization, time management and communication skills
Must have a high level of attention to detail
Work well within a diverse team environment
Flexible availability: including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays
Must be able to embrace the organization’s core values
Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length.
Ability to lift and carry furniture and/or appliances for small periods of time.
Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill maintenance tasks
Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
