Dorlan Engineering Consultants Inc. is looking for a Structural Engineer to join our growing team.
You must have advanced knowledge of structural design and engineering processes.
Must be able to work independently and within a team environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform structural analysis and design for new and existing structures.
- Write technical reports.
- Carry out site inspections and field reviews.
- Review shop drawings.
- Correspond and communicate with clients, contractors, consultants and project stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering.
- Registered with a Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) as a Professional Engineer in good standing (additional provinces is an asset).
- Minimum 10 years of structural engineering design experience.
- Qualified candidates must possess strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Strong design experience in reinforced concrete and steel structures.
- Experience with ETABS, SAP, SAFE (or similar) AutoCAD and Revit.
- Proficient with all Canadian Building Codes (knowledge of US and International Codes an asset).
- Working knowledge of building materials, construction techniques and relevant CSA codes (particularly: wood, steel and concrete; knowledge of new/innovative materials an asset).
- Must have strong computer skills.
- Previous design experience in Canada.
- Good attitude and team player.
- A valid driver's license, and reliable transportation.
Successful candidate must be able to commute to Mississauga on a daily basis (this is NOT a remote job).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
