POSITION SUMMARY
The Car Loader Supervisor will oversee daily loading activities while actively participating in the loading process. The successful candidate must possess advanced knowledge of vehicle loading techniques, cargo securement methods, container space optimization, and damage prevention procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and coordinate daily vehicle loading operations.
- Load vehicles into shipping containers safely and efficiently.
- Lead and train loading crew members.
- Ensure all vehicles are properly secured according to company procedures.
- Inspect vehicles before and after loading.
- Maintain detailed records, photos, and loading reports.
- Identify and prevent potential damage risks during loading and transport.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
- Communicate effectively with management and logistics personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years of direct experience loading vehicles into shipping containers.
- Proven experience supervising loading crews.
- Strong understanding of vehicle securement techniques and damage prevention.
- Ability to load various vehicle types, including cars, SUVs, pickup trucks, and specialty vehicles.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with vehicle export operations.
- Experience handling luxury, exotic, classic, or oversized vehicles.
- Forklift certification (asset).
