We are excited to be recruiting for a Part Time Beer Vendor Clerk at our amazing property, the Norwood Beer Store.
This is a part-time position with scheduled hours consisting of day, evening and weekend shifts. Candidates must have open and flexible availability, as scheduling flexibility is important to support operational needs.
The Norwood Hotel has always been an innovative leader in the hotel industry. The Norwood Hotel has an interesting and diverse history dating back to the latter part of the 1800’s. The earliest records available indicate a photograph of the hotel in 1895. In 1937, the Hotel came under the ownership of the late Merle Sparrow and has been operated by the Sparrow family ever since. This longevity in ownership makes the Norwood the oldest operated family hotel in Manitoba and one, if not the oldest in all of Western Canada.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused Beer Vendor Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing fast, friendly, and responsible service to customers purchasing beer products. As a key point of contact, you will ensure all sales comply with liquor regulations while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe vendor environment. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting.
Duties:
1. Greet customers and assist them with any questions they may have.
2. Cash Handling of high-volume transactions during busy peak times.
3. Heavy lifting while putting away beer orders. (Up to 100lbs)
4. Assisting with inventory counts and ensuring coolers are fully stoked.
5. Dealing with high pressure situations that may arise from time to time.
6. And handling empty bottles and cans when returned by customers.
What You Bring to the Table:
1. Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, such as a Beer Vendor, is considered an asset.
2. A positive, hardworking attitude with strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent service to both customers and team members.
3. Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately handle cash transactions and operate point-of-sale systems.
4. The ability to remain focused and organized in a busy environment while following established procedures and maintaining accuracy.
5. The ability to safely lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
