Position Description:
As a member of our Front of House Team, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our guest experience. Your personal attention and knowledge of our food, beverage and wine offerings, along with your interest in being an ambassador for tourism in Prince George and the North makes our guests feel unique and valued.
A FOH Supervisor with Northern Lights Estate Winery works on the restaurant floor as the Manager on Duty. These shifts are support for our servers as well as a guest experience ambassador for our guests. Supervisors touch tables, provide complimentary samples, ensure allergies are handled properly, expedite at the kitchen pass, bartend, manage reservations, and work closely with the Wine Shop and Events department.

Job Duties:
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of food and beverage menu items as well as the programs in the Wine Shop and Events departments.
- Accurately processing guest orders through TouchBistro POS system and payment devices.
- Maintaining an accurate knowledge of all NLEW wines and their tasting notes.
- Acting as server, host, bartender, food runner, wine shop sales associate, and event service staff given the needs of the business
- Ensuring completion of cleaning tasks and side work, ensure the entire restaurant is kept to a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
- Communicate effectively with the BOH team to ensure smooth service.
- Work directly with the Director of Services and Head Chef to align goals for shifts
- Relay information between departments and concurrent events.
- Welcome customers into the winery, guiding them to the appropriate departments.
- Answering the winery phone.

Requirements:
- Reliable transportation in all weather and times of day is required - there is no bus service available.
- Must be able to meet physical needs of the position; able to lift 50 lbs frequently and stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work indoors and out in all weather conditions.
- Must be comfortable scaling ladders and using stairs frequently
- Comfortable working with computers and POS systems. Knowledge of TouchBistro and Square are considered an asset.
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts including split shifts, early mornings, late nights, holidays and weekends.
- Must be 19 years of age.
- Must have up to date Serving It Right certificate.
- Candidates must express a sincere interest in learning about wine and food, WSET certification is a plus.
