Good Folk is focused on bold flavors, local ingredients, and genuine hospitality. We are looking for a hands-on Sous Chef to support our Executive Chef and help lead our kitchen team. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen where creativity, teamwork, and consistency matter.
What You'll Do
- Lead and support the kitchen team during service
- Assist with daily kitchen operations and food preparation
- Ensure dishes are prepared and presented consistently
- Train, coach, and support team members
- Maintain food quality, cleanliness, and organization
- Manage inventory, prep levels, and waste control
- Follow and enforce food safety and sanitation standards
- Help create a positive, professional kitchen culture
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen
- At least 1 year of leadership experience
- Strong skills on the hot line and grill
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stay calm and organized during busy service periods
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Passion for great food and local ingredients
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
