We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate veterinary team! The ideal candidate will support veterinarians in providing exceptional care to animals, assist with client communication, aid in laboratory sample collection and procedures and ensure a clean and organized clinic environment. New grads and experienced VA's are welcome!
We offer a competitive compensation package, including veterinary discounts, health benefits, paid sick and vacation days, and continuing education. The position is structured to be Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm. There are no evenings and no on-call, allowing for an ideal work-life balance.

Responsibilities
- Assist during examinations and procedures, including restraining animals as needed
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and supplies for procedures
- Collect and process laboratory samples, ensuring accurate handling and documentation
- Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas, kennels, and equipment to uphold safety standards
- Provide basic patient care such as feeding, bathing, and monitoring recovery
- Support administrative tasks including appointment scheduling and record keeping
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Veterinary Assistant Program
- Compassionate attitude toward animals and pet owners
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift and handle animals of various sizes safely
