Junior Technical Project Manager
Procom is seeking a Junior Technical Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale software development initiatives in a fast-paced engineering environment. This role is ideal for a highly organized project professional with experience coordinating Agile software projects, managing cross-functional deliverables, and supporting software release activities.
Working closely with engineering, QA, product teams, and external partners, you'll help drive project execution through effective planning, issue tracking, reporting, and stakeholder communication. This position also offers the opportunity to leverage AI-powered productivity tools and modern collaboration technologies to improve project visibility, reporting, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day project execution across multiple software development teams.
- Manage Jira boards, issues, priorities, dependencies, and sprint planning activities.
- Support software release planning and coordination across engineering, QA, and vendor teams.
- Track project requirements, risks, issues, action items, and project milestones throughout the development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain project dashboards, metrics, and executive status reports.
- Coordinate activities with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure project deliverables remain on schedule.
- Prepare leadership-ready presentations, reports, and project documentation.
- Utilize AI-powered productivity tools, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering techniques, to improve reporting, meeting preparation, and documentation efficiency.
- Facilitate communication and alignment across software, hardware, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for project management processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Project Manager or Technical Project Manager.
- Experience supporting Agile software development teams.
- Strong understanding of:
- Agile methodologies
- Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Sprint planning
- Release management
- Hands-on experience with Jira.
- Experience creating project dashboards, reports, and project metrics.
- Experience managing project requirements, dependencies, vendor coordination, and risk tracking.
- Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting hardware development teams.
- Familiarity with cellular technologies, mobile communications, telematics, or mobile network certification.
- Experience working within automotive, telecommunications, mobility, embedded systems, or other technology-focused environments.
- Experience using AI-assisted productivity tools, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering.
- Experience preparing executive-level communications and presentations.
