Silent Rides Charter Company is seeking full time and part time drivers to add to our Silent Charters family, due to our 3 new coaches that are ready to hit the road. Part-Time positions are available on smaller units for class 2 and class 4 drivers. Silent Rides operates mainly around Alberta and British Columbia with headquarters in Acheson, AB.

Being a charter company motor coach driver requires a combination of driving skills, customer service abilities, and a strong commitment to safety. It's a challenging but rewarding role for individuals who enjoy working with people and have a passion for travel.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operate the coach vehicle in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Ensure the safety of passengers during embarkation, travel, and disembarkation.
- Greet passengers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Address passenger inquiries and concerns courteously and promptly.
- Familiarize yourself with routes and destinations, planning the most efficient and timely travel routes.
- Stay updated on traffic and weather conditions, adjusting routes accordingly to ensure on-time arrivals.
- Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the coach vehicle.
- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the coach, both inside and outside.
- Ensure that the coach is stocked with necessary amenities and supplies for passenger comfort.
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including passenger manifests and incident reports.
- Comply with all company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations related to passenger transportation.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations that may affect the operation of the coach.
- Other duties as assigned.
Reports to: General Manager or in the absence of the General Manager, the VP of Operations.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
· Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience driving commercial vehicles, preferably in transporting sports teams or charter groups.
· Class 1 or 2 Commercial Driver's License with air brake
· Proof of Clean Driver's Abstract
· Knowledgeable in motor coach operations, safety, ADA, DMV, and DOT requirements
· Familiarity with major highways, local and regional routes, and navigation tools. Understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
· Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage time and routes efficiently.
· Ability to lift heavy luggage or equipment, sit for extended periods, and remain alert and focused during long trips.
· Willingness to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by team schedules.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Prior experience as a tour bus driver is an asset
