Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Specialist / Driver Recruiter plays a key role in supporting Canada Cartage’s growth by attracting and hiring top talent across the transportation and logistics sector.
This role is responsible for full-cycle recruitment, with a strong focus on driver hiring, while also supporting a variety of roles across the business. We are open to candidates earlier in their careers who are eager to learn, grow, and build expertise in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Location: Mississauga, Ontario
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Day Shift)
Type: Full-time, Permanent
What you will do
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for drivers and a variety of roles across the business, primarily within Quebec, with occasional support in other regions
- Source, screen, and assess candidates to ensure alignment with role requirements and company standards
- Partner closely with hiring managers and operations teams to understand hiring needs and priorities
- Support recruitment marketing initiatives, including job postings, campaigns, and employer branding efforts
- Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines for high-volume roles
- Track and report on key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, quality of hire, and turnover
- Contribute ideas to improve processes, candidate experience, and overall recruitment effectiveness
What You’ll Bring
- 1–3 years of recruitment experience (or related experience in HR, staffing, or high-volume hiring)
- Transportation or logistics experience is an asset
- Exposure to full-cycle or high-volume recruitment environments
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is an asset
- Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written) is preferred
