As a Small Engine Mechanic, you will ensure critical equipment—pumps, chainsaws, generators, and support units—is operational, reliable, and ready for deployment when Albertans need it most.

- Some examples of examples of type of equipment you’ll be working on are Waterax or equivalent wildfire pumps, Husqvarna chainsaws and Stihl brush saws as well as Honda/Yamaha generators.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain wildfire equipment (e.g., pumps, chainsaws, brush, saws, generators)
- Perform preventative maintenance and operational readiness checks
- Service ATVs, trailers, and light-duty fleet equipment
- Provide field support through on-site/mobile repairs as required
- Complete work orders and document repairs, parts, and labor
- Assist with inventory management, including parts ordering and stock control
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient shop environment.
