Our client, a new and growing medical centre in Meaford, Ontario, is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to join their team. This candidate should be friendly, positive and have pro-active interaction with all internal and external customers as well create awareness and educate customers through public relations. This Part-time Permanent position is Day shift with a wage starting at $40.00 per hour and profit sharing.

About The Role
This position reports to the Director of Pharmacy Operations, this position is responsible for accurately and efficiently receiving, preparing, and delivering prescriptions, maintaining inventory, and providing patient counselling and documentation. The role also involves delivering excellent customer service, educating patients, supervising staff, and supporting the financial and operational success of the department. Other duties may include:
- Supervising & Providing Guidance & Direction to Staff
- Hiring & Managing the Performance of Staff
- Accountable for the Financial & Operational Success of the Department
- Preparing, Dispensing & Controlling Medications Accurately & in a Timely Manner for Patients
- Ensuring Medication & Over-The-Counter Supplement Inventory Levels are Adequate to Meet Patients’ Needs
- Counselling Patients Regarding New & Additional Medications While Providing Friendly, Positive & Proactive Interactions
- Creating Awareness & Educating Customers Through Public Relations Initiatives, Including Public Health Days, Clinics, & Other Community Events
- Providing Timely & Positive Resolution to Patients’ Needs & Doctors’ Requests/Issues
- Obtaining & Reviewing Budgeted Sales & Net Contribution
- Identifying & Reporting Sales Opportunities Both Internally & Externally
- Reviewing & Controlling Costs at All Levels Within the Loblaw Pharmacy Dispensary
- Other Tasks as Assigned
Qualifications
- Holding a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy & Class A Pharmacist License is Required.
- Having Minimum of 3 Years’ Experience in a Retail Environment.
- Demonstrating Strong Verbal Communication & Interpersonal Skills
- Demonstrating Strong People Management Skills & The Ability To Motivate & Coach Others
- Providing Excellent Customer Service & Demonstrating a Strong Sense of Professionalism
- Proven Ability to Build the Business Using Community-Based Marketing Strategies
- Demonstrating Strong Problem-Solving Skills, Including Experience Formulating & Executing Action Plans.
- Demonstrating Strong Personal Computing Skills, With Knowledge of Healthwatch &/or KROLL Pharmacy Systems Considered a Definite Asset
