The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembly of mechanical parts. Interprets manufacturing documents to assemble or modify components and must be able to read the assembly drawings.
- Accurately interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications for each assembly
- Assemble, bolt, screw, clip, solder, or otherwise fasten parts, machined parts, and components together using hand or power tools, or other equipment
- Connect cables, tubes, and wires to complete assemblies
- Test and verify completed work
- Operate necessary hand and power tools as required.
- Work on other electrical projects as required.
- Meet physical job requirements such as continuous standing and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
Qualifications:
- We are willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications
- Familiarity with industry standard electrical/mechanical/electric assembly practices
- Exceptional communication (written & verbal in the English language) and interpersonal skills
- WHIMS certification preferred
