Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a smooth workflow in the kitchen environment. This position is essential in providing high-quality service in our hospitality setting, whether it be in a hotel, restaurant, or other food service establishments.
Duties
- Assist cooks and chefs with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Help organize and store food items properly to ensure freshness and compliance with food safety standards.
- Clean and sanitize work areas regularly to uphold hygiene standards.
- Support the cooking staff during meal service by preparing garnishes and plating dishes as needed.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with inventory management by keeping track of supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels.
Skills
- Experience in food service or hospitality environments is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of basic food handling and preparation techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
