Position Summary
The Junior Technical Designer role sits within the Product Design Team. Our goal is to elevate the
Dormie Workshop product by creating unique and original artworks. Our team drives excellence in
leather production through the connection of design, development and manufacturing.
Responsibilities/Tasks
- Responsible for writing build sheets for approved leather headcover and accessory designs
- for both custom and wholesale clients.
- Responsible for providing accurate instructions and production ready files to the Production team.
- Collaborate with the Production team to communicate new and recurring product designs.
- Responsible for timeline adherence; ensure all work orders are completed accurately and delivered
to Production team on time.
- Knowledge of design standards and product construction.
- Responsible for occasionally assisting with original Dormie Workshop product designs, providing
graphic design support to the creative team as needed.
- Attendance of departmental meetings.
Qualifications/Skills
- BA, BFA, or equivalent in design or similar
- Must be fluent in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- An understanding of leather and leather product construction, but not necessary

- Posses a creative spirit and innovation to achieve great results.
- Communicate with all departments with honesty and kindness to create space
for others to do the same.
- Work with confidence and have the ability to ask questions when required.

Pay: $40,500.00-$41,000.00 per year
