Summary:
The Delivery and Installation Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery, installation, and setup of durable medical equipment (DME) to patients' homes or healthcare facilities. This role requires excellent customer service skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to work independently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Delivery: Safely transport and deliver DME to patients' homes or healthcare facilities, ensuring equipment is handled with care and arrives in good condition.
- Installation: Assemble, install, and set up DME according to manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.
- Patient Education: Provide clear and concise instructions to patients or caregivers on the proper use, maintenance, and safety precautions of the DME.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and thoroughly, including delivery confirmations, installation reports, and patient education records.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control, ensuring equipment is properly stored, maintained, and accounted for.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of company vehicles, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Customer Service: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in a delivery or installation role preferred. Experience with DME or healthcare equipment is a plus.
- Skills:

Physical Demands:

- May be exposed to hazardous materials or infectious diseases.
- Requires frequent travel.
