Paragon Testing Enterprises operates in the highly competitive and rapidly growing industry for English proficiency tests and their instructional products and services. As a subsidiary of The University of British Columbia located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Paragon aspires for its tests to become the Canadian tests of choice for immigration to Canada and for admission to Canadian universities and colleges.

This entry-level position reports to the Manager, Test Centre Operations, and works under the guidance and supervision of the Test Centre Operations Support Team Lead to provide administrative support and tier 1 technical support for all test sittings delivered through Paragon’s array of test centres, ensuring that they are well prepared, supported, and meet Paragon’s high standards. This position requires working occasional weekend, early morning, and evening hours. You must have a strong eye for detail and be comfortable working with technology.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Complete administrative tasks to support test delivery
  • Review weekly reports for discrepancies, errors, and other issues
  • Provide professional and friendly tier 1 support for test delivery personnel on test days, which entails answering questions about policies and procedures and troubleshooting basic technical issues.
  • Follow up with test takers who experience issues on test day
  • Provide feedback and ideas to improve the test delivery experience for test takers and the test centres
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, documentation, manuals, and other materials
  • Assist in the delivery of test sittings as required
  • Undergraduate Degree
  • Experience in troubleshooting simple computer-related issues
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Ability to pay careful attention to detail, to work effectively within a team environment, to exercise tact, discretion, and confidentiality, and to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of and experience with business and office procedures, practices, and their applications
Willingness to work weekends, early mornings, late evenings, or other times when Paragon’s tests are delivered
Willingness and availability to travel within Canada and internationally
Canadian citizenship, Canadian permanent residence, or permit to work in Canada

Salary: Commensurate with candidate’s qualifications
