Responsible for providing administrative, clerical and secretarial support to the nursing units by:
Successful completion of secondary school required
Post-secondary business/secretarial courses;
Successful completion of SHSC PAA training
Computer/typing skills including Windows and MS Word are required;
Keyboarding at 40 wpm or 106 kpm
Minimum two years’ experience in a busy Nursing Unit preferably in a hospital/health care environment;
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment with flexibility and diplomacy while providing excellent customer service;
People person with strong verbal & written communication skills and customer focused with attention to details;
Good inter-personal skills and ability to work well with a diverse group of individuals;
Excellent organizational skills.
