As Assistant Wellness Coordinator (AWC), you will be:
Focused on quality of resident care, the AWC assists the Wellness Coordinator in directing all aspects of the retirement nursing department and in the implementation of nursing programs and procedures. The AWC assumes responsibility for the monitoring and championing of quality and other clinical programs within the Village. The AWC will be involved in leading individual and team performance including role expectations, training, hiring and onboarding; and other staffing actions (e.g., authorization of overtime; addressing scheduling issues; handling discipline and terminations; WSIB claims; etc.).
The AWC is the primary liaison between The Village of Erin Meadows, Trillium Health Partners (THP) and the LHIN to coordinate and oversee the 24-person transitional care services program. In this role they will work with the Wellness Coordinator and AGM / GM to ensure the programmatic goals and objectives are met. This will include coordinating move ins / move outs and tracking and analyzing trends for evaluation purposes. They will have primary responsibility for handling resident and family issues and concerns as they arise.

To be successful as Assistant Wellness Coordinator, you will:

Show skill in planning, coordinating, and leading nursing team members
Be committed to supporting residents with a high quality of personal care
Demonstrate skill with computers (PointClickCare, MS Word, internet, and office equipment)
Have a current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse
Hold a current Heart Save Level of CPR
Geriatric nursing experience preferred
