The Addiction Recovery Centre (ARC) is a voluntary medical detox program providing a safe, therapeutic environment for individuals withdrawing from alcohol and other substances. We are seeking experienced, compassionate nurses to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will complete assessments, triage admissions, administer medications, monitor withdrawal symptoms, and adjust care as needed. You will provide client-centered, trauma-informed care supporting the medical, physical, and emotional needs of clients. This position requires flexibility in an acute environment. Candidates must be physically able to care for adult clients, respond to medical or behavioural emergencies, and maintain a safe environment. Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage risk, de-escalate situations, and follow safety and infection control protocols.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and Recovery Alberta policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of Recovery Alberta.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active registration or eligibility for registration and a current practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 1–2 years’ recent clinical experience (acute care, mental health, or addictions). Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI). Current Connect Care experience. Violence Assessment and Screening Tool (VAST).
