Staff Plus is hiring General Labourers for current client assignments in Hamilton, Burlington, and Oakville. Opportunities are available in warehouse and manufacturing environments, with duties that may include material handling, packaging, production support and order preparation.
What You May Be Doing
Responsibilities will depend on the specific location and may include:
- Loading, unloading, and moving materials
- Picking, packing, sorting, and labelling products
- Packaging and preparing products for shipment
- Assisting with production or assembly work
- Feeding materials into production equipment
- Performing basic visual quality checks
- Organizing materials and work areas
- Following workplace health and safety procedures
- Completing other general labour duties related to the assigned position
What We’re Looking For
- Previous general labour, warehouse, production, or manufacturing experience is an asset
- Forklift license is an asset
- Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures
- Ability to safely lift and handle materials as required by the assignment
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to perform physical work for the duration of the scheduled shift
- Ability to work independently and with others
Additional experience with material-handling equipment or production machinery may be considered for assignments where those skills are required.
Hours and Schedule
Full-time and temporary assignments may be available.
Schedule varies and may include:
- Day shifts
- Afternoon shifts
- Night shifts
- Weekday or weekend work
Specific hours and scheduling requirements will be provided before you are considered for an assignment.
Pay
Assignments pay between $17.60 and $22.00 per hour.
The applicable rate will depend on the position, required experience, responsibilities, and client assignment. The pay rate will be confirmed before placement.
