Assist in the implementing of an inclusive, reflective and play based program; assessing a program and children’s development; communicating with parents/guardians about the progress of a child and any challenges faced, falls within the scope of practice of Registered Early Childhood Educators.
Create and maintain a safe and healthy setting to protect and promote the physical safety and health and well being of each child.
Plan and provide daily experiences that support each child’s physical, emotional, social, communication, cognitive, ethical and creative development
Develop and maintain positive relationships of mutual trust with families respecting the dignity of each family and their child rearing values and rights to make decisions for their child.
Listen and collaborate respectfully with families to understand areas of concerns, being sensitive to their needs, while supporting the best interests of the child.
Establish and maintain positive and co-operative relationships and environment with co-workers.
Establish and maintain supportive, collaborative relationships with other community service providers working with children.
Provide coverage to various programs and ages of children as needed.
