These courses are most often run over the summer months. All new members are REQUIRED to take a 4 week Basic Military Qualification course (A.K.A “Basic Training”). All trades and occupations, including administrative roles and musicians, are required to complete this course. This course can be highly challenging, stressful, and demanding. This course does require that members can meet the fitness standard as required.
Open this link to see what Basic Training is like!
Non-Commissioned Members, including Financial Services Administrators, will need to complete two courses in order to become fully trained. All new members must do Basic Military Training in the first summer after enrollment. They will do their Trade Specific Course over the second summer after enrollment. New Non-Commissioned Members are required to complete one course per year and be fully trained in two years.
Financial Services Administrators will complete a 4 week long Military Basic Training course over the first summer after enrollment, they will then need to complete a two-month, full-time, in residence course in Borden Ontario in order to become fully qualified in their trade.
