Nova Scotia Health Authority provides health services to Nova Scotians and some specialized services to Maritimers and Atlantic Canadians. We operate hospitals, health centres and community-based programs across the province. Our team of health professionals includes employees, doctors, researchers, learners and volunteers that provide the health care or services you may need. This is accomplished across four geographic management zones which are responsible for the operation of acute care health centres and the provision of a variety of inpatient, outpatient services including academic, tertiary, quaternary care and community based programs and services including continuing care, primary health care, public health, and mental health and addictions.
The Resource Facilitator is responsible for maintaining an overall awareness of the activity and circumstance within the hospital, with the objective of ensuring patient centered care, confidentiality and proper safety standards are maintained. The Facilitator ensures necessary resources and proper staffing levels are available to the Nova Scotia Health Authority. The Resource Facilitator acts as liaison between management and staff, to address any issues that may arise. This may include; emergency situations, customer service issues and resource utilization.
Health Services related studies preferred.
Post-secondary certificate course in Medical office related studies required.
Certified Medical terminology course required.
3 – 5 years experience in a health care environment preferred.
CPR certification required.
Experience in a Health Care Facility required.
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training required.
Proficiency in Meditech, including the Admissions, Medical Records and Order Entry modules.
Good working knowledge of the computer application; Word, Excel and Outlook applications required.
Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.
