JOIN OUR TEAM
We are seeking a highly engaged, energetic, organized and detail-oriented Batchman to join our team in Prince George. The Batchman will play a pivotal role in the concrete production process by overseeing and managing the operation of batching equipment. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of high-quality concrete mixes, ensuring they meet project specifications. This position requires a skilled individual with a strong understanding of concrete production, equipment operation, and a commitment to maintaining consistent quality standards. and demonstrate a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Role and Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the batch plant to ensure efficient and safe production.
- Provide technical support to Dispatch/Sales.
- Coordinate mix requirements with Dispatch/Sales to meet Client needs.
- Utilize computerized systems to batch, maintain precision and consistency in mix designs.
- Adjust batching processes as necessary to uphold concrete quality.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Perform routine quality control checks on raw materials to ensure compliance with standards.
- Maintain accurate records of materials, batch adjustments, and production reports.
- Maintain accurate raw material inventory and ensure availability for scheduled orders.
- Order raw materials as needed while abiding by company purchasing policies. All purchases are to be performed using company accounting software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve batch plant equipment issues quickly to minimize downtime.
- Conduct routine daily maintenance on batch plant to ensure optimal performance.
- Coordinate equipment repairs with maintenance team.
- Monitor equipment operations and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the production process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Actively participate and comply with Kode’s safety program.
- Ensure that the batch plant, and assigned work areas are kept safe, presentable and, free from hazards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Concrete Batch Plant Operator – Minimum 3 years of work experience;
- Experience in both ready-mix and precast operations is an asset;
- Experience with computerized batching systems is an asset;
- Strong understanding of concrete production processes, mix designs, and material properties;
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and practices;
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot batching equipment effectively;
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication abilities;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment;

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
