Job Summary: The Dash Solutions team is our new team that merges Sales, Engineering and Customer Success and as an intern, in Dash Solutions, you’ll spend a lot of your time making Dash applications for our customers. These are actual projects for actual customers who will run your app in production and use it in their business. You’ll interact with the customers to figure out what they want and need and then make it a reality. You’ll review your coworker’s apps and code just like they will do with yours. You’ll be completely in the loop as to what is going on, not only in the team but also in the company at large. You’ll be part of planning the work. You’ll be part of shaping how we work. You will be a full member of the team and the candidates selected for these intern positions will be treated just like the current full-time employees. If you are looking for actual useful work experience, this is a good fit for you. If you can write programs in Python (and/or R), think that data visualizations are rather neat, and if you are eager to learn on the job, well, then you are probably a good fit for us too.
You can expect to gain:
Knowledge of data visualization and analytics best practices and data manipulation skills.
Portfolio pieces: interactive analytics applications that will be published on Plotly’s website, in newsletters, and possibly demoed to industry partners.
Professional development in a dynamic, open and empowering work culture.
A very helpful and welcoming team. We are there to help you climb to new heights and we are eager to see how high you can reach
What we’ll be expecting you to do:

Providing feedback and recommendations about what applications or components you think would benefit the Dash open-source community.
What we think could be rather useful to do well in this role:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in computer science, business technology management, computer engineering, software engineering, machine learning or similar with a work placement, internship, or practicum unit.

Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or have refugee status, and eligible to work in Canada according to the laws and regulations of the province or territory where you live
At the end of the day, if you check all of these boxes, you’d probably be amazing in this role. Keep in mind that even if you don’t check all the boxes, you could still very well be a rising star so please don’t let our little list limit you.
Bonus: Experience with React.JS and Node.JS frameworks
Bonus: Experience with Dash and Plotly frameworks
