About Sunnyside Farms
Sunnyside Farms Ltd. is a progressive potato farming operation owned by three family farms in the Coaldale area. We grow potatoes for the French fry market and focus on quality, sustainability, innovation, and food safety.
The Role
We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking Potato Storage Technician to join our team. In this hands-on role, you’ll assist with daily farming operations. largely related to the storage and handling of potatoes including planting, harvest, shipping, equipment maintenance, and other farm duties.
This is an active outdoor position that may require long hours during peak seasons and work in varying weather conditions.
What You’ll Do
- Support potato shipping and storage operations
- Assist with equipment maintenance and basic repairs
- Keep accurate digital production and food safety records
- Work closely with the farm team to keep operations running smoothly
- Operate farm equipment when needed for planting, harvesting, and field preparation
- Follow safety and Canada GAP standards
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Farm experience
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Mechanically inclined
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Reliable and safety-focused
- Good communication and time management skills
- Ability to work Sunday's (as needed - this position you must have Sunday availability at times)
Assets (Preferred but Not Required):
- Class 1 or 3 license
- Potato farm experience
- Precision Ag or pivot irrigation experience
- First Aid certification
- Agronomic knowledge
- Microsoft Office experience
