Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team for Infant room. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves planning and implementing educational activities that promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to support the learning process.
- Collaborate with other educators to create a cohesive curriculum that meets the diverse needs of all students.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with special needs or disabilities.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Skills
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of French is a plus.
- Strong background in childcare and early childhood education principles.
- Experience working with Infants.
- Experience working with children, including those with special needs or disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff.
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities and maintain records efficiently.
- Leadership abilities to guide students in their learning journey while fostering independence.
- Time management skills to balance lesson planning, teaching responsibilities, and administrative tasks.
- Computer skills for classroom operation and communication purposes; familiarity with educational software is advantageous.
