Sunrite Greenhouses Ltd./Del Fresco Produce Limited is looking to hire for the position of LOCAL TRUCK DRIVER. This position will require the employee to drop off and pick up produce from various farms and warehouse locations within the area.
Wage/Terms of Employment:
Rate is to be negotiated based on experience, full time, permanent position. Job requires early morning, evening, night and weekend work. Driver needs to be flexible, as hours will vary.
Must be available to work any day of the week, including Saturday and Sunday. Will have a minimum of 1 day off during the week.
Group health benefits provided after 1 year of employment- negotiable.
Work Conditions/Physical Capabilities:
Driver must be able to handle heavy work loads, sitting for extended periods of time required, must be able to read, write and speak English. Driver must be organized, flexible, work well independently and work well as part of an organization.
Documentation Knowledge:
Driver will perform accident or incident reports, maintenance and repair reports, inspection reports (pre-trip, on-route and post-trip reports)
Licenses/Certification Required:
At minimum a DZ license is required. AZ licence would be ideal. Driver Abstract required along with resume.
Forklift certification, driver will have to operate hand jacks and be able to move more than 50lbs.
Experience/Education:
Driver must have completion of high school, with 1- 2 years experience
